Four hours of adrenaline, abuse, tiredness, laughter, desperation, surprises, and what’s another word for trying to force someone to buy our wristbands?

50th State Fair. I’ll be there tonight! I always love seeing the whole set up when I pass it going to town.

Hauʻoli Lā Hānau E Queen Liliuokalani
Today is a beautiful day. Not only are we celebrating the Queen of Hawai’i’s Birthday, but I too was born on this day. I was in fourth grade when I found out that I was born on the great, Queen Liliuokalani birthday. Ever since I found out that we share the same birthday, I was more grateful of the day I was born on.

It’s been raining like crazy in Hawaii. Jay Armstrong of Kauai captured these photos of some Kauai residents stand-up surfing on the main highway.

Forget cars! This is how we get to our destination in Hawai’i ;)

The Mokeness in this video made me crack up!! hahaha…

I don’t know what I like better: The giant shark or the guys commentary.
The guy, should become a News caster or something. It would be so hilarious!

But man, that was a fricken big shark!

I’d choose the olden day over today any day.

Honolulu, Hawaii.
I look out my window as i see all these street lights, and flashing sights of Hawai’is very own, Waikiki City. And I am amazed at the beautiful scenery Hawaii has to offer. The sway of the palm trees give off this light breeze as it brushes against my face. I close my eyes for a bit, and i inhale the aloha air for it soothes my soul.
I used to despise living on paradise. How foolish i was for taking this lovely island for granted.
I slowly open my eyes and inhaled another fresh breath of Hawaii’s breeze. I looked around at the tall building, and these massive skyscrapers that occupied Honolulu. I enjoy the calm wind as i thought to myself “Lucky, I’m living HI.”

I have to state my opinion…
Yes I LOVE living in Hawai’i but I hate the sight of town. Yeah, I guess we have pretty light at night and blah blah blah. But look up towards the skies, do you see any stars? No. Can you walk in town with the Moonlight being your guide light? No. Last I heard Hawai’i was an island and living on an island with light pollution is disturbing to me. I get it Hawai’i a freaking state and we are developing more with building and crap like that. But this, for me, is not beautiful. I’m a country person that love’s the peaceful sounds, that all I hear at night is the waves crashing, the stars shinning brightly, the wind blowing through the air not thru big buildings, the bright full moon light shinning down upon us, and the fact that their is open land to run around on. I love living in Hawai’i don’t get me wrong. It’s just some parts of Hawai’i that doesn’t seem right to me. Why can’t we go back to the olden day’s…I would totally be happy without 99% of the crap that we have now.

Couldn’t have said it any better.

So this is my picture, climbing to the highest point on the Hawaiian island of O’ahu, known as Mt. Ka’ala (4,025 feet). This was on the way back down, as I discovered the top is pretty flat and doesn’t offer the dramatic view I could capture here. Taken in 2007, way before I had a bunch of tattoos. If you need a place to go to heal mentally, I recommend you climb a mountain.
